The Merrill Lynch Award for Distinction
Merrill Lynch awards merit-based scholarships to Black, Hispanic, and Native American undergraduates interested in financial services.
Sophomores receive a $5,000 scholarship award (with an additional $5,000 award to be given if you receive and accept our summer internship offer for the summer following your junior year).
Juniors receive a $10,000 scholarship award.
Eligibility To be eligible to apply, you must be a sophomore or junior at one of the following schools:
Carnegie Mellon
Claremont McKenna
Cornell
Duke
Georgetown
Georgia Tech
Harvard
Howard
Morehouse
NYU
Penn State
Princeton
Rice
Rutgers
Spelman
U Penn
USC
U Texas/Austin
UVA
Villanova
Yale
Students who receive funding from other sources are also eligible for the Merrill Lynch Award for Distinction.
Requirements
Submit complete application (four parts) by Friday, December 8, 2006
3.5 GPA
Apply for, receive, and accept an offer for a 10-12 week summer internship in one of these summer analyst programs: Global Markets, Investment Banking, Private Client, Research or Technology (application for a summer internship is a separate process; see directions below)
