Offre The public is hereby informed that Scholarships are being offered under the above-mentioned programme to nationals of the Southern Africa Region by the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University:
(i) a Feldman fellowship for a two year Master of Arts degree in
Sustainable International Development starting in August 2006 including full tuition fees, airfare, and living expenses and stipend to be awarded to an early to mid-career professional motivated to work on issues of integrated conservation and development;
(ii) a one-year Master of Science degree in International Health
Policy and Management starting in August 2006 and which includes full tuition and fee remission; however airfare and living expenses will not be included. The Scholarship will be awarded to an early to mid-career development professional with a demonstrated commitment to effective health policy and management; and
(iii) a two-year Master of Arts (Degree) in Sustainable International Development (MA/SID) starting in late August 2006 which includes full tuition and fee remission for the year in Residence; airfare and living allowance are not included. The Scholarship will be awarded to an early to mid-career development planner committed to poverty alleviation and community development within the region of Southern Africa.

Applicants should include:
• A letter of Interest in the Southern Africa Poverty & Development Scholarship;
• A curriculum vitae (CV) or Resume;
• A detailed statement describing career objectives and work experience;
• Three original letters of recommendation (at least one professional and one academic) on official letterhead sent directly to the SID Admissions Office from the referees. Each letter must be accompanied by a completed recommendation form. Faxed letters are acceptable to begin the review process but originals are required before an admission offer can be made;
• Original or certified true copies of all university transcripts should be sent directly to the Admissions Office of the university. Unofficial transcripts of university record are acceptable to begin consideration but the original is required to complete the application. Transcripts in other languages must be accompanied by an official English translation; and
• A TOEFL or IELTS score report or documentation of English proficiency must be submitted if English is not the native language.
Detailed instructions on completing a SID application can be found in the Admissions section of the SID website [email protected]. Applications can be faxed on 781-736-2774. Completed applications must be sent by 31 March 2006.
Applicants are required to write their first name and last or family name consistently and in the order indicated, in the upper right corner of each page if faxed.
